"Show Me Heaven" is the theme song to the Tom Cruise movie Days of Thunder (1990) sung by Maria McKee. Song is an emotive ballad which was a massive hit in the UK, spending four weeks at number one in September 1990. The Days Of Thunder soundtrack created two other big hits, Guns N\' Roses version of Bob Dylan\'s "Knockin\' On Heaven\'s Door" and Elton John\'s "You\'ve Gotta Love Someone." |

The famed chorus of Paradise City is "Take me down to the paradise city where the grass is green and the girls are pretty". The song is included on the 1987 album Appetite for Destruction and was released as a single in 1988. Half of the music video was filmed at Giants Stadium in New Jersey while Guns N\' Roses were on tour with Aerosmith, midway through the video, they are seen boarding the Concorde jet so they could make an appearance at the concert in England - the Monsters of Rock event at Donington Park. |
