It is always some shit going on in Stinica (apartments get closed, people disappear, mobile phones have been stolen,etc.), but it is nice being there... From March 30-27, Ljubljana (Slovenia) will be hosting its second international swing festival called the Ljubljana SweetSwing Festival (LSSF). After a very successful LSSF 2007, we tried our best to go the extra mile and improved the festival. We added an additional day and widened our selection of dances: we will be teaching Lindy Hop, Balboa and Boogie Woogie. We also invited dance instructors that are usually hard to get and richened our choice of music by inviting US swing band The Stolen Sweets, we are going to set the right mood with Miha Jazbinsek and His Legends... |

Istra. Until W.W. 2 Istra was populated mainly by Slovenians and Italians. The main towns consisted mainly Italian population, when the countryside was populated by Slovenian people. After WW 2, when the Italian ocupation of Istra stoped, Croatia became the "owner" of Istra due to Yugoslav and allie politicians confusion and mixup. Nowdays Croats will not even approve of Slovenian minority in Croatia even though about 70% of Istras population is Slovenian descent.
